RAJKOT: ''''It''s a tough question,'''' answered India-A skipper Mohammad Kaif ducking around the query about his Test ambitions on the eve of India-A''s three-day tour match against the visiting New Zealand side that gets rolling here at the Rajkot Municipal Corporation ground from Thursday.
Realistically assessing the situation that finding a slot in the packed Indian middle-order for the upcoming Tests against the Kiwis was only a figment of imagination, the wiry Kaif said hopefully: ''''I''m going to focus on this game and an opportunity should soon arise.''''
Chipping in with useful contributions with the bat and raising the bar on the turf with his electric fielding prowess during India''s One-day games, Kaif pointed out that he was now hitting the ball well.
''''I was making some 30s and 40s after coming back from England and now I''m looking to compile some big scores and especially win this match.
Sandeep Patil was his usual sanguine self. ''''Yes, this is a challenge,'''' he admitted.
